Blue planet sea life centre cheshire4/16/2024 Thank you again for providing your feedback. We appreciate that you are disappointed with the car park charge, and apologise for any dissatisfaction caused. The land use around Blue Planet Aquarium has changed radically in the last 10 years and additionally in the UK many attractions now choose to charge for providing on-site car parking and this includes a number of comparable attractions. Car park payment signage is displayed at the entrance to the car park and adjacent to the aquarium where the pay point is located or alternatively, payment can be made at reception on exiting the aquarium. As of the beginning of February 2013 a car parking charge is applied to all visitors who choose to visit by car and park on-site at Blue Planet Aquarium. However we do understand that each of our visitors has a different appreciation of our displays and therefore visit time may vary. This allows time for each visitor to see each display, enjoy an Aquatheatre show, listen to one of the many talks and visit the restaurant and gift shop. Blue Planet Aquarium is one of the largest Aquarium attractions in the UK and an average visit takes between 2 and 3 hours. I am sorry to hear of your disappointment regarding admission prices, it is standard for Blue Planet Aquarium to review its admission prices on an annual basis and we feel our prices are in line and comparable to similar attractions in the UK. Thank you for taking the time to write a review about Blue Planet Aquarium, your feedback is very important to us. It'll be interesting to see how their pricing and charging changes once the Sea Life centre opens in Manchester soon. Absolutely disgusting, and we won't be returning. The longer you stay (which most attractions would encourage) the more you pay on leaving THE CAR PARK! I don't know of any attraction that I or my friends have been to where you have to pay for the privilege of parking your car in their own car park. I shudder to think how much they try and fleece you for on those. God knows how much they cost as we never even bothered to view them. They also have these annoying folk wandering round to take your picture (more expense) and if you agree to pose for them, its not just one pic, its about 30. There also doesn't appear to be too much with an educational value going on in here either, each fish had a little note about it saying whether it had conservation status or not, what it looks like, how long it lives for or how big it grows and where you'll find them in the wild. The only way you would last more than an hour is if you have food (more expense) or if you take kids and they play on the playground for a while (which means more parking expense) The fish, what they have of them, are all very nice and in nice enclosures and tanks, the tunnel is also very good, but they are not enough to justify the costs. You pay £15.50 for each adult, and £11.50 for kids over a certain height which in itself is expensive as you can very easily get round it in under an hour. My god, I chose this plaice (ha ha) over Chester Zoo.
